"I have the Furzip.exe Download;
what should I do next?

If you're running Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or NT you can download our Furcadia client and try out the Alpha version for free! Unpack furzip.zip into a folder, using Winzip or any other zip utility. Click on Furcadia.exe to play. Macintosh users running Soft Windows can try it too, though it's likely to be a bit slow. (As of yet, there's no native Macintosh version.)

To run Furcadia once you've downloaded it, you'll want to make a folder to keep it in. Unpack the "furzip.exe" file to set it up. Then you run furcadia.exe to play the game! Windows 95 users, make a Shortcut for easier access. Windows 3.1 users can add an icon to one of their program groups.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
  • "I'm using Win98 and I log in but the game freezes up after a few seconds."
    The current release of Furcadia can only run under 256 color mode in Win98. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Right-click your desktop, pick Properties, Settings, and set Colors to 256, and it will run.

    Furcadia is an "alpha", that is, still in development, and we reserve the right to change the game or rules as we see fit. Thank you for your continued interest! We would be honored if you would offer the following graphic as a link from your web page:
